Douay Bible - Psalms Chapter 6

Psalms 6:1
Unto the end, in verses, a psalm for David, for the octave.

Psalms 6:2
O Lord, rebuke me not in thy indignation, nor chastise me in thy wrath.

Psalms 6:3
Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak: heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled.

Psalms 6:4
And my soul is troubled exceedingly: but thou, O Lord, how long?

Psalms 6:5
Turn to me, O Lord, and deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercy’s sake.

Psalms 6:6
For there is no one in death, that is mindful of thee: and who shall confess to thee in hell?

Psalms 6:7
I have laboured in my groanings, every night I will wash my bed: I will water my couch with my tears.

Psalms 6:8
My eye is troubled through indignation: I have grown old amongst all my enemies.

Psalms 6:9
Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity: for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.

Psalms 6:10
The Lord hath heard my supplication: the Lord hath received my prayer.

Psalms 6:11
Let all my enemies be ashamed, and be very much troubled: let them be turned back, and be ashamed very speedily.

Proverbs 12:1 He that loveth correction, loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is foolish. Proverbs 12:2 He that is good, shall draw grace from the Lord : but he that trusteth in his own devices doth wickedly. Proverbs 12:3 Men shall not be strengthened by wickedness: and the root of the just shall not be moved. Proverbs 12:4 A diligent woman is a crown to her husband: and she that doth things worthy of confusion, is a rottenness in his bones. Judith 11:1 Then Holofernes said to her: Be of good comfort, and fear not in thy heart: for I have never hurt a man that was willing to serve Nabuchodonosor the king. Judith 11:2 And if thy people had not despised me, I would never have lifted up my spear against them.
